Product description

Adva®198 is a high-range water-reducing admixture designed to increase concrete workability, improving slump retention, set time control, and finishability. It is ideal for ready-mix and precast applications requiring high flow with consistent performance. This product features a polycarboxylate-based formulation, making it well-suited for concrete requiring low water-cement ratios and reliable air content stability.

Meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM C494 Type A & F.

Interpretation

Based on the results from the life cycle assessment model, the life cycle impacts are strongly driven by the raw materials. The impacts of the raw materials are primarily attributed to the polycarboxylate in the product recipe. The manufacturing of Chryso®Adva 198 Admixtures also drive the Global Warming Potential. Natural gas consumption is a significant contributor to the manufacturing impacts

LCIA results are relative expressions and do not predict impacts on category endpoints, the exceeding of thresholds, safety margins or risks. EPDs are comparable only when they follow the same PCR, functional unit and system boundary. The full EPD (PDF) contains the methodology, scenario assumptions and verification statement.
