Product description

Chryso®Optima 1240 is a high Performance Admixture based on new proprietary CHRYSO®Optima 1000 Technology. CHRYSO®Optima 1240 provides excellent water reduction along with extended pumpability and slump retention over time. CHRYSO®Optima 1240 allows designing high-level performance concrete to meet the most challenging jobsites’ requirements.Meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM C-494 Type A & F

Interpretation

Based on the results from the life cycle assessment model, the life cycle impacts are strongly driven by the raw materials. The impacts of the raw materials are primarily attributed to the polycarboxylate in the product recipe. The manufacturing of Chryso® Optima 1240 Admixtures also drive the Global Warming Potential. Natural gas consumption is a significant contributor to the manufacturing impacts

LCIA results are relative expressions and do not predict impacts on category endpoints, the exceeding of thresholds, safety margins or risks. EPDs are comparable only when they follow the same PCR, functional unit and system boundary. The full EPD (PDF) contains the methodology, scenario assumptions and verification statement.
