Product description
Roppe Solid Vinyl Tile (SVT) products are durable, resilient floor coverings designed for permanent indoor installation in a wide range of commercial and institutional applications. These products are manufactured at Roppe Corporation’s facility in Tuscumbia, Alabama, USA and include:
ReNew SVT: Standard solid vinyl tile for general commercial environments
Static Dissipative SVT: Engineered for environments with electronics or data equipment
Conductive SVT: Designed for areas requiring fast and direct dissipation of static charges (e.g., cleanrooms, chip manufacturing, explosives handling)
All formats feature a smooth surface with no factory finish and are available in square tiles in the following nominal dimensions:
12 in × 12 in × 0.080–0.125 in (2–3.2 mm)
24 in × 24 in × 0.080–0.125 in (2–3.2 mm)
36 in × 36 in × 0.080–0.125 in (2–3.2 mm)
Pre-grooved options are available in larger tile sizes for heat-welded installations where seamless performance is desired.
All Roppe SVT products are manufactured without recycled content and are Red List Free, containing no substances from the Living Future Institute’s Red List, the REACH Candidate List of SVHCs, or REACH Annex XVII. The products are certified under NSF/ANSI 332 (Level 1), FloorScore, and comply with CA Section 01350, CHPS, and LEED v4/4.1 requirements.
Electrical Properties (Static Control SVT Only):
Conductive SVT: Electrical resistance of 2.5 × 10⁴ to 1 × 10⁶ ohms (ASTM F150)
Dissipative SVT: Electrical resistance of 1 × 10⁶ to 1 × 10⁹ ohms (ASTM F150)
Both meet ANSI/ESD S20.20, FTMS 101c, and AATCC-134 test criteria
Lifetime limited electrical resistance warranty
Shared Performance Features:
All product variants conform to ASTM F1700 (Class I, Type A) and meet key industry performance standards including:
ASTM E648 – Critical Radiant Flux (Class I)
ASTM E662 – Smoke Density ≤ 450
ASTM D2047 – Static Coefficient of Friction ≥ 0.50
ASTM F970 – Static Load Resistance (≤ 0.005 in at 250 psi and modified at 2,500 psi)
ASTM F925, F2199, F137, F1914, F1514, F1515 – Chemical resistance, dimensional stability, flexibility, and durability
Roppe SVT products are lot controlled, suitable for use over in-floor radiant heating, and intended for indoor use only. Mass and density are determined per square meter in accordance with the applicable product category rules.
Interpretation
Across all indicators, the largest source of impact is the replacement phase (B4). For all indicators other than eutrophication, raw materials (A1) are the second largest source of impact, followed by manufacturing (A3). For eutrophication, the second largest source of impacts comes from the disposal stage (C4), followed by raw materials (A1). Unlike the rubber products, the contribution from the raw materials is substantially larger, accounting for a larger percentage of impacts given the impacts associated with the production of polyvinyl chloride and the bio-based plasticizer. Installation (A5), maintenance (B2), and transport (A2, A4, C1) are considered non-negligible.
LCIA results are relative expressions and do not predict impacts on category endpoints, the exceeding of thresholds, safety margins or risks. EPDs are comparable only when they follow the same PCR, functional unit and system boundary. The full EPD (PDF) contains the methodology, scenario assumptions and verification statement.
