Product description
Consolideck® BD1 is a high-performance blend of silicates designed to deliver superior results on a wide range of concrete surfaces, including those containing type 1L or other ASTM C595 cements. Ideal for use on steel-troweled or burnished concrete f loors, this economical, penetrating treatment reacts with the concrete to quickly create a harder, denser surface. Consolideck® BD1 is appropriate for freshly troweled “green” concrete, or existing floors of any age and renders concrete floors dustproof.
Consolideck® LS/CS is a penetrating silicate treatment reacts with the concrete to produce insoluble calcium silicate hydrate within the concrete pores. LS/CS is appropriate for freshly troweled “green” concrete, or existing floors of any age and renders concrete floors dustproof.
Interpretation
The analysis of PROSOCO hardener and densifier products provides useful insights regarding cradle-to-gate environmental impacts. The LCA results also identify where substantial impacts are occurring to allow further process and materials improvements to be implemented by the reporting company. The cradle-to-gate impacts for the BD1/LSCS product average are largely driven by A3 manufacturing in every category but ODP, which is almost entirely driven by A1 raw materials (99%). Manufacturing contributes between 53-92% of other categories. A1 raw materials is the second highest contributor in all other categories besides ODP.
Much of the data utilized for this Environmental Product Declaration is based on information supplied by the manufacturer. TrueNorth Collective is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the data provided by the manufacturer or any information or conclusions derived therefrom.
LCIA results are relative expressions and do not predict impacts on category endpoints, the exceeding of thresholds, safety margins or risks. EPDs are comparable only when they follow the same PCR, functional unit and system boundary. The full EPD (PDF) contains the methodology, scenario assumptions and verification statement.
