Product description
Consolideck® Blended Densifier is a high-performance blend of silicates designed to deliver superior results on a wide range of concrete surfaces, including those containing type 1L or other ASTM C595 cements. Ideal for steel-troweled or burnished concrete floors, this penetrating, economical treatment reacts with the concrete to quickly create a harder, denser surface. Surfaces treated with Blended Densifier are easier to maintain.
Consolideck® LS® is a premium hardener, densifier and sealer for concrete surfaces. This penetrating lithium silicate treatment reacts with the concrete to produce insoluble calcium silicate hydrate within the concrete pores. Treated surfaces resist damage from water and surface abrasion. The increased surface hardness reduces dusting and simplifies maintenance
Interpretation
The analysis of PROSOCO hardener and densifier products provides useful insights regarding cradle-to-gate environmental impacts. The LCA results also identify where substantial impacts are occurring to allow further process and materials improvements to be implemented by the reporting company. The cradle-to-gate impacts for the BD/LS product average are largely driven by A3 manufacturing in various categories but ODP, AP, SFP, and ADP fossil which are majority driven by A1 raw materials (99%, 56%, 44%, and 47%). Manufacturing contributes between 48-83% to GWP and Eutrophication impacts.
Much of the data utilized for this Environmental Product Declaration is based on information supplied by the manufacturer. TrueNorth Collective is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the data provided by the manufacturer or any information or conclusions derived therefrom.
LCIA results are relative expressions and do not predict impacts on category endpoints, the exceeding of thresholds, safety margins or risks. EPDs are comparable only when they follow the same PCR, functional unit and system boundary. The full EPD (PDF) contains the methodology, scenario assumptions and verification statement.
