Product description

Hager cylindrical locksets are designed to deliver reliable security, durability, and performance across a wide range of commercial applications, offering solutions tailored to different levels of use and budget requirements. The Hager 2500 Series Grade 2 lock provides an effective balance of performance and value, making it a suitable choice for standard commercial applications. Its cost-efficiency and broad product offering make it particularly well-suited for stocking programs. As an economical alternative within the Grade 2 category, the 2500 Series delivers dependable performance while maintaining affordability. The Hager 3400 Series Grade 1 lock is engineered for the most demanding environments, offering extra heavy-duty performance. Designed to withstand intensive use, impact, and abuse, this series has been rigorously tested for strength and durability. Its proven reliability across a wide range of applications has made it a trusted solution both nationally and globally. The 3400 Series is backed by a lifetime warranty, reflecting its high quality and long-term performance. The Hager 3500 Series Grade 2 lock combines value and performance, making it an ideal option for typical commercial applications where Grade 1 performance is not required. As a cost-effective alternative, it provides strong dependability and reliable operation. The 3500 Series is also supported by a lifetime warranty, ensuring consistent performance over time.

Interpretation

This study developed representative Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) models and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for the company’s product lines, covering raw material extraction, manufacturing, transportation, assembly, packaging, distribution, and end-of-life stages. Results show that most environmental impacts occur during the product stage (A1–A3), primarily from raw material production, metal processing, transportation, and manufacturing energy use, while end-of-life impacts depend largely on recycling and disposal assumptions. Opportunities for impact reduction include increasing renewable energy use, improving material efficiency, reducing packaging, increasing recycled content, and sourcing from lower-impact suppliers.

LCIA results are relative expressions and do not predict impacts on category endpoints, the exceeding of thresholds, safety margins or risks. EPDs are comparable only when they follow the same PCR, functional unit and system boundary. The full EPD (PDF) contains the methodology, scenario assumptions and verification statement.
