Product description
Manufactured from mild steel, rigid conduit is highly resistant to damage from impact yet ductile to facilitate bending. Atkore’s hot-dip galvanized steel also offers excellent corrosion resistance. Atkore's RMC conforms to UL 6, NEC Article 250.118, and ANSI C80.1. Offered as Atkore brands Allied Tube and Conduit, Calconduit, and Columbia-MBF.
Interpretation
The contribution analysis indicates that the majority of the potential impacts occur as a result of raw material supply (A1) and manufacturing (A3). The biggest contributors of of impacts in each stage are respectively supply of steel coil in A1 and usage of electricity and natural gas in A3.
LCIA results are relative expressions and do not predict impacts on category endpoints, the exceeding of thresholds, safety margins or risks. EPDs are comparable only when they follow the same PCR, functional unit and system boundary. The full EPD (PDF) contains the methodology, scenario assumptions and verification statement.
