Product description

Part Groupings: Cable Cleats & Uniclip Strut Type Brackets

Panduit cable cleats secure cables in place, keep them properly spaced, prevent movement from electrical forces (during short circuit events), and protect both the cables and surrounding equipment. Panduit's brackets are used to fasten the cable cleats to the cable tray ensuring the cleat is secured to the tray on the rungs.

The functional unit utilized for this study is to mount a cable or a tube at a point with a cable cleat or uniclip strut type bracket with a clamping capacity between Y mm (minimum) and C mm (maximum) for a service life of 20 years, including end-of-life disposition, in accordance with the PSR.

This Panduit EPD includes the following products, along with their minimum and maximum clamping capacities.

Interpretation

When evaluating the impact categories, the production (A1-A3) stage has the greatest contribution to environmental impacts across most impact categories, emphasizing that material efficiency and energy use reduction strategies are where primary improvement strategies can be applied.

LCIA results are relative expressions and do not predict impacts on category endpoints, the exceeding of thresholds, safety margins or risks. EPDs are comparable only when they follow the same PCR, functional unit and system boundary. The full EPD (PDF) contains the methodology, scenario assumptions and verification statement.
